Hey Everybody!
I decided to create a blog to share some of my experiences in France on my exchange next year! I am headed to Rennes, the capital of Brittany (a north-western region of France) on August 23rd, and will be staying for about a year. Brittany is known for its Celtic roots, amazing crepes (!!!), and fresh seafood (along with many other things, it's just the food seems to come in mind at the moment :P) The program I am going through is Rotary Youth Exchange, a very safe and well-known exchange program...a must for my parents, who, after much convincing (especially on the part of my father), are finally all on board with my crazy "Gap-year" plans ;) During my exchange I will be attending a high school full time, living with a host family, and hopefully (fingers crossed!) becoming fluent in French. I am SO excited to start my adventure, and hope that I can keep up with this blog as best as I can so that you all can hear about what I'm doing and seeing!
Claire :) :) :)

What a wonderful opportunity! You will thrive in France, probably coming home with a French accent. May you have a wonderful, exciting, educational year. All of our love and good wishes.

Glad you thought my idea of a blog was a good one. We can all read about your adventures, and you'll have a journal of your year in France. Isn't technology grand ?
